Of the same size as our large SLAM trap, this unique 4-headed SLAM trap is equipped with four collecting heads/bottles.  Designed to distinuish insects intercepted from four directions, each collecting head opens from one of the four quadrants defined by the trap's cross baffle.
 
The 4-headed SLAM trap is made of fine Polyester fabric (96 x 26 mesh/square inch).  It comes with one removable "moth excluder" (2 x 2 mesh/square inch) at each head to keep out unwanted large insects.

Support poles are shock-corded aluminum poles.
 
Assembly
 
SLAM Trap on Land
  1. Assemble poles.  Make sure segments are fully inserted into joints.
  2. Push ends of one pole into white pockets at opposite corners on base of SLAM trap.
    Careful: do not over bend pole.
  3. Clip hooks around pole.  Take care to maintain gentle curve in pole.
    Make sure pole goes between collecting heads on top.
  4. Repeat Steps 2-3 with second pole and black pockets.
  5. Remove moth excluder from collecting head entrance if not needed.
  6. Use tent pegs to stake trap to ground.
  7. Black loops (about two-thirds up side of trap) are for guy lines for extra support in wind.
 SLAM Trap in Air
  1. Complete Steps 1-5.
  2. Throw a rope over tree branch.
  3. Tie other end of rope around poles where they cross at top of SLAM trap.
  4. A second trap can be hung from loop in center of bottom of SLAM trap.
  5. Run a line through stake loops to ensure traps have same orientation.
  6. Repeat Step 10 on opposite side of trap to keep traps from spinning.
  7. Haul trap into air.
  8. Stake down lines.  Lines from Steps 10 & 11 should be staked separately.
